Floating Images Exhibition

Sunset Suppers

This sculptural program of exhibitions and events encourages everyone to participate. The artistic dynamic promises to incite debate, advocate innovation and nurture creativity. Floating Land is also a celebration of our environment – of the earth and water, the air and light - and the inspiration these elements give us in infinite ways.

Artist Program

The public are encouraged to watch artists and designers, Kevin McMahon, Elizabeth Poole, Motoyuki Niwa, and Matt Dwyer installing and presenting work in and around Lions Park, Noosa Heads.

At sunset on Boreen Point’s shore, local artists including Rowley Drysdale, Susan Coburn, Ellen Appleby and Michael Ciavarella will create, destroy and reveal through their performance incorporating fire and ceramics

Workshops

Three Floating Land Workshops, held by local, national and international artists, will explore the theme of the environment through conceptual art processes. The public is welcome to watch the workshops and see the results installed in Lions Park and the Woods

Sunset suppers

With good food and music, our three Sunset Suppers at the beginning, end and during the workshops will celebrate artists working in collaboration with the environment, with each other and with the community
