Erwin Olaf
Elegance & Perversity
To be officially opened
Saturday 17 June

by Maurice Ortega-Montiel, Director, Queensland Centre for Photography
Refreshments available, all welcome
Prepare to be challenged by the introspective photographs of Dutch artist Erwin Olaf. Erwin captures the aggressive spirit of society within all its contradictions: over-consumption, hypocrisy, fetishism, violence, social control and marginalisation.
The work invites us to think rather than judge, to look without demonising. Slick, cynical and surreal, his work is sometimes disturbing.
CAUTION: Some images in this exhibition may offend. Not suitable for persons under 18 years.
